Grow your practice in a way that actually feels good.
Most therapists don’t step into this field expecting to run a business.
But somehow, between holding space for other people’s pain, trying to keep up with paperwork, managing a caseload that never seems to shrink, and wondering how on earth you’re supposed to expand…
here you are.
And if you’re being honest?
Even when your practice is “doing well,” it doesn’t always feel good.
There’s the low-grade burnout that creeps in when you’re fully booked.
The guilt that shows up when you even think about wanting more.
The desire to create something bigger, paired with zero time or spaciousness to actually dream.
You’re not alone, and you’re not failing.
You’re just running a practice inside a system that was never designed with sustainability in mind.
This retreat changes that.
Design your path from solo → group, learn how to structure and deliver therapy intensives, create your dream retreats, or get support bringing a new idea to life, at an unhurried pace in a setting made for clarity and calm. Expand beyond the therapy room sustainably! Accommodations will be at a Private Villa in Sedona.
A retreat for therapists who want to expand without falling apart
It’s designed for the therapist who’s thinking…
“I know I’m capable of more, but I cannot do one more year of hustling, pushing, or trying to ‘figure it out’ alone.”
This isn’t about grinding your way toward growth. This is about rooting yourself so deeply in alignment and clarity that expansion becomes the natural next step.
Let's be honest about where you are
Before therapists grow their practices, most hit the same wall
You’re exhausted.
You’re carrying too much.
You’re doing everything yourself.
Your ideas live in your head because there’s no space to develop them.
And even if you want to expand, you have no roadmap for what that would look like.
“Growth sounds exciting… but where should I even start?”
If you're looking for value from people who understand, you're in the right place
Hi, I’m Arilda Surridge, MA, LMFT
I’ve been a therapist for almost 15 years. In that time, I’ve watched so many incredible clinicians walk away from this field. Not because they didn’t love the work, but because the work wasn’t loving them back. Burnout, overwhelm, impossible caseloads, compassion fatigue, lack of support… you name it.
And the truth is?
I was almost one of them.
Around my five-year mark, while working in community mental health, I hit the kind of burnout that makes you question everything. I loved helping people, but I couldn’t keep going the way I was. After having my first child, I left community mental health to start a solo practice. It helped a little, but something was still missing. So my husband (also a therapist) and I expanded my practice into a group practice. And still… it wasn’t enough to fill the deeper need for alignment, sustainability, and true wellbeing.
Life didn’t make things easier.
Two young kids, a growing business, and navigating serious medical challenges, including cancer, easily could have become reasons to stop. But instead, they became my reason to find a new way forward. Through all of this, I refused to let anything become a barrier to the dreams I held.
And somewhere along that journey, I figured out something that changed everything.
"Therapists don’t need to quit the field to feel fulfilled."
We need support, structure, and community. We need space to breathe.
You’re just running a practice inside a system that was never designed with sustainability in mind.
Over time, I built a professional life that reflects both my passion and my wellbeing. Today, along with running a successful group practice where I still offer extended and intensive sessions, I am also an author, a continuing education provider, a consultant to therapists and business owners, a retreat organizer and leader
In other words, my plate is very full.
But here’s the key.
I have developed a system that allows me to live a full, meaningful life without burning out. A system that lets me work on my practice, rather than constantly drowning in my practice. A system that allows space for creativity, dreams, projects, retreats, and all the ideas that come to mind.
And I want other therapists to experience this, too.
Because you don’t have to stay stuck.
You don’t have to shrink your dreams.
You don’t have to leave the field to find joy again.
This retreat is designed to give you exactly that!
This is the retreat I needed years ago. And now I’m creating it for therapists just like you.
What You'll Learn on Our Retreat
This retreat is designed to help you expand your practice in a way that actually feels good for your life, not just your business. You’ll begin by reconnecting with yourself—your rhythms, your values, your capacity—so you can build from a grounded place rather than running on empty. From there, you’ll explore what it truly looks like to grow beyond solo work, whether that means stepping into leadership as you move toward group practice or creating therapy intensives that allow you to serve clients more deeply while honoring your time and energy.
You’ll also learn how to design and lead your own retreats, giving you the tools to create meaningful, restorative experiences for others without burning yourself out. And throughout the experience, you’ll have dedicated space in our Creative Vision Workshop to turn your ideas into clear, aligned plans you can confidently bring to life.
By the time you leave this retreat, you won’t just feel inspired, you’ll feel equipped. You’ll have a clearer sense of who you are as a therapist, a leader, and a human being, and you’ll know exactly what your next steps look like. Instead of carrying the weight of growth alone, you’ll walk away with a plan that feels doable, supportive, and genuinely aligned with your life.
Let’s build a life and business that finally feel like they fit you.
