Dedicated, accomplished, and compassionate academic and counselor with 26 years of industry experience, including crisis intake, intensive outpatient groups for adolescents and young adults, adults, and dynamic family group work. Expertise in working with adolescents, young adults, families, couples, as well as partners of sex and substance addicts, personality disorders, codependency, love addiction- love avoidance cycles with focus on PTSD, stress disorders, autoimmune, and psychosomatic disorders/medical social work. K.A. Miller has held roles in intake crisis care, IOP therapist, as well as roles in program development for multiple IOP programs. K.A Miller worked in several executive roles in the industry including a nationwide program to bring cutting edge trauma work to the prison system to reduce recidivism and has worked for some of the nation’s most cutting-edge programs with leading industry experts. As a Somatic Practitioner, she is an assistant for Somatic Experiencing trainings and has assisted at over 10 trainings across the country. K. A. Miller has helped shape and open multiple cutting edge and innovative programming pieces. She is passionate about creating materials for underserved populations. K.A. Miller has turned focus the later part of her career to training in qEEG Brain Mapping and Neurofeedback in combination with therapy.

Miller’s career has culminated into an interest in deep integrative care purposefully. K.A. Miller’s mission include the idea that human beings are complicated and may need many modalities for their care. “Addictions, anxiety, trauma, depression, and low self-worth can lead us to feeling unawake and having no sense of center-people simply can’t stand to live within themselves and have no sense of home”. K.A Miller’s overall mission in the next year is to truly assist people in feeling unburdened and alive again after being depleted and lost from stress, anxiety, trauma, woundedness, and addictions. K. A. Miller’s career has been about continuing to grow and learn and be at the cutting edge of care with the purpose of conscious and effective treatment and to contribute to the footprint of the field with science-based approaches and research. K. A. Miller currently provides contract work to behavioral health companies desiring high level consult and coverage for trauma counseling.
